KEY INFORMATION

Description

The Vulpine Run originates on the southern slopes of Mount Fox, in the Utopic Hills range, before flowing peacefully northward through a succession of wooded valleys and open meadows. Its course forms a gentle valley, framed by the slopes of Mount Fox to the west and the eastern foothills of the Utopic Hills to the east.

Its main tributary, Saphyr Creek, joins the Vulpine Run a little further down, in a small green valley where the two streams merge into a calm, clear flow before continuing their descent together towards the coast of Renewal Island.

The stream's name comes from the English word “vulpine,” meaning “relating to foxes.” The silver foxes of Mount Fox, once abundant in this region, are said to have inspired both the name of the mountain and that of the stream. Their presence today remains a symbol of the wild and unspoiled nature of the area.

Thanks to its winding course and peaceful surroundings, Vulpine Run has become a popular spot for walkers and photographers. In spring, its banks are covered with wildflowers and young ferns, while its waters reflect the silvery hues of Mount Fox dominating the horizon.
