General information:

Renewal Island is the second largest island of Lochburn County and the historical heart of the archipelago. Stretching east to west, it is home to Utopia, one of the oldest settlements in Grand Utopia of America; Pamparina Bay, a charming coastal town of Dutch heritage; and Woodbridge, a small hamlet forged by the pioneer spirit of the GU Route 66 era. At its eastern tip, the Salem Bridge connects the island to Eastedge Islet. The island's interior is dominated by the Utopic Hills, a range of wooded ridges that shaped both its settlement patterns and its road history.

Economy

Renewal Island's economy is primarily driven by heritage tourism and small-scale industry. Utopia, as the symbolic birthplace of the nation, attracts visitors year-round through its historic sites and annual Pioneer Day celebrations. Woodbridge, once a thriving sawmill town along the GU-66, has reinvented itself as a Route 66 heritage destination thanks to the Historic GU Route 66 Foundation. Pamparina Bay relies on its agri-food industry — anchored by Fish Tail Food, a fish processing company — alongside a growing high-end real estate market and nautical tourism. Agriculture plays a secondary but enduring role across the island's interior plains.
