Welcome to Grand Utopia ! In the North Atlantic, near the Canadian coasts, lies the Grand Utopia archipelago, a group of islands shared between several territories and nations.

Within this archipelago is the French region of Grand Utopia, made up of two main islands: the island of Grand Utopia, the historical and administrative heart, and the island of Akokan, known for its tropical microclimate which creates unique weather conditions compared to the surrounding region. This region stands as one of the cultural and economic pillars of the archipelago, where European and North American influences meet.

Imagined at a 1:1 scale by the cartographer MyGodness, the region of Grand Utopia combines realism and fiction: picturesque villages, dynamic cities, bustling ports, and carefully shaped landscapes. Inspired by the French homeland, it offers an original territory that nonetheless preserves the soul of metropolitan France.

This official Wiki aims to present the history, geography, infrastructures, and legends of the entire Grand Utopia archipelago, including its diverse regions and nations.

Geography

• Location, borders and area

The Grand Utopia archipelago is located in the North Atlantic Ocean, near the Canadian coasts. Its geographical position, at the crossroads of the major maritime routes linking Europe and America, has long given it a strategic and historical importance.

As a group of islands, the archipelago has no land borders. Its limits are defined exclusively by maritime and aerial boundaries. Its exclusive economic zones meet those of Canada to the west and, further south, those of the United States and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. To the east, the ocean stretches widely towards Europe.

Covering a total surface area estimated at about 15,470 km², the archipelago includes several distinct political entities. Among them, the French region of Grand Utopia — composed mainly of the island of Grand Utopia and the island of Akokan — forms the administrative and cultural core of the whole. The other territories scattered across the archipelago add to its geographical, cultural, and institutional diversity.

• Climate

The climate of the Grand Utopia archipelago is strongly influenced by its location in the North Atlantic Ocean, at the crossroads between North America and Europe. The surrounding ocean currents soften thermal contrasts, giving the islands generally milder conditions than the continent at the same latitude.

Overall, the archipelago enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, with cool summers, relatively mild winters, and rainfall spread throughout the year. Prevailing westerly winds cause rapid weather changes, and both fog and winter storms are frequent.
